If you don't already know the Hebrew letters (aleph bet) and vowels (nikkud), or if they're a little rusty and you'd like to brush up, here's a 20 minute video that covers them all.

Don't forget to download the practice sheets for writing the block letters or the handwriting script. Writing practice can help boost your memory as you learn the letters and their sounds. As you write them, say the name of the letter and it's sound. Repetition reinforces your memory pathways, but don't worry if you haven't memorized them all perfectly after doing each practice sheet once through. As you continue to watch videos or take part in classes where Hebrew words are sounded out and the letters are talked about, you'll get plenty of repetition over time.
